COVID-19感染拡大により，双方向リアルタイムの遠隔カウンセリングが実施されることも多くなってきた。感染収束後にも，情報通信技術の進歩もあって，遠隔による心理支援のニーズは高まっていくものと考える。遠隔の場合，モニター上の映像は首から上が多く，非言語情報は対面による面接よりも少なくなる。限られた非言語情報から，いかにクライエントの感情を認識し，共感的に関わるのかが問題となる。そこで，架空カウンセリング場面におけるクライエントの表情動画に対する研究対象者の視線運動をアイトラッカーにて測定し，視線運動と感情認識，感情調整との関連及びカウンセリング熟達者と初学者の視線運動を比較検討する。熟達者の視線運動を明らかにすることによって，対面とは異なる遠隔カウンセリングに必要な技能を提案することができると考える。令和4年度は，遠隔カウンセリングにおけるモニター上の顔位置と大きさを調査し，刺激とする映像の顔位置及び大きさの検討を行った。質の高い視線運動データ取得するためには，最大でモニターのサイズは19インチとなる。そこで，モニターの大きさを17インチとし，モニター上の顔映像の位置を決定した。研究代表者の所属機関の研究倫理審査委員会に申請を行い，データ収集に着手する許認可を得た。感情認識や理解に関わる特性に関する質問紙調査を実施するとともに，静止画に対する視線運動実験計画を立案し，R5年度に先駆けて，実験を開始した。
