潜在意味解析（Latent Semantic Analysis）とは，小説・新聞・雑誌等からなる言語コーパスを，人が語彙知識を獲得する際に用いる入力情報と想定し，コーパスに含まれる文書中の共起情報を元に単語をベクトル表現し，単語や文章間の意味的関連性を表現する計算論的モデルである。本課題ではLSAによる計算機シミュレーションを行い，単語間の意味的関連性に基づく意味空間を構築し，人の行動データと比較検討している。令和４年度は，(1) LSAによる意味ベクトル空間の構築，(2) LSA意味空間の計量的分析と実験による行動データの収集，の二つについて準備を進めた。(1)「LSAによる意味ベクトル空間の構築」では，第一に，コーパスのジャンルやサイズを操作し，子どもや語彙量の異なる成人の心的辞書を反映するコーパスを作成する予定であった。そのため，データベースを収集し，シミュレーションに使用できる形式に整えて単語数等を検討した。第二に，単語文書行列に対する前処理として，小説・新聞をもとにしたコーパスについて，局所的重みや広域的重み等のパラメータをシステマティックに操作し，最適な単語文書行列の変換アルゴリズムを検討した。次に(2)の「LSA意味空間の計量的分析と実験による行動データの収集」では，心理実験の準備を進めている。眼球運動測定を行うための装置の購入計画および実験プログラムの準備を進めた。これにより、LSAによる意味空間と人間の行動データを比較検討することで、今後、シミュレーションの有用性や限界を明らかにすることを目指す。
