本研究は、インテグリティ概念を介することによって歴史的都市・町並みの価値評価と保存整備ないしまちづくりの計画を統合的にとらえることを、試みるもので、具体的なフィールドを対象に実践的に試みるもので、今年度は堺環濠都市北部地区及び城崎温泉における現地調査と、国内における複数の伝統的建造物群保存地区の現況調査を実施した。堺環濠都市北部地区では、同地区まちなみ再生協議会の全面協力の下、伝統的家屋11件の実測調査、同地区の歴史及び生業の調査を実施し、成果をとりまとめて協議会への報告会を開催した。成果は令和５年度に中間報告書に取りまとめるべく作業を進めている。調査報告会を経て、実測調査希望家屋が複数上がってきており、令和５年度にも調査を継続し、特に生業の側面を掘り下げて、インテグリティ概念を通した統合的把握のあり方を取りまとめる予定である。城崎温泉については、城崎温泉町並みの会が企画した城崎温泉町並みゼミにおいてこれまでの調査内容を踏まえた文化的景観についての講演を行い、調査実施のための地ならしを行っている。令和５年度より木造３階建て旅館を中心とする家屋の実測と歴史、生活・生業に関する調査を本格的に実施する予定である。国内における伝統的建造物群保存地区の現況調査として、伝統的生業と町並みの関係が深い名古屋市有松、佐賀県有田町有田内山の両重要伝統的建造物群保存地区について現地の現況調査を実施し、それぞれに生業と町並みの関係について分析を行った。特に有松については複数回の現地調査を重ね、有松絞の生産に関わる生業動線と都市構造、家屋の関係についての新たな知見を得た。今後学会発表等にまとめていく予定である。
