项目摘要

本研究の目的は、短期交換留学プログラムのための日本語教育、日本研究科目を統合した、1年間の総合的カリキュラムの作成にある。平成9年度においては、その全体的構想を確定するために、前年度において収集した資料を整理・分析し、データベース作成のための基礎作業を続けるとともに、具体的教材制作にも着手し、また総合的カリキュラムの主軸をなす日本語、日本研究関連諸科目を連動させた新しい教育プログラムの一部を実施に移すことができた。学生の学習状況の調査も引き続き行い、現時点で原型が完成している部分のカリキュラムの成果を査定しつつ、改良を要する点、今後重点的に開発していくべき課題を特定するなどしながら、将来的な総合的カリキュラムの完成に向けて作業を続けている。留学生用の諸科目を有機的に結びつけて短期留学のための効果的な総合教育を行うという当初の目論見が十分な実行可能性を持っていることは、今年度に実験的に行われたいくつかの授業において証明されたと言える。具体的には日本の社会や文学・文化に関する科目と日本語プログラム、フィールド・トリップなどを相互的に関連させるというもので、部分的には共通の教材を用いる。現段階では、そのための教材はまだ体系的な形を成しておらず、試験的なものを使用しているが、データ・ベースが整ってくれば、総合的な教材制作の方も本格的に進むものと思われる。副教材としてのビデオ制作や日本語の自主学習用ソフトの開発などについては、まだ具体的に作業に着手する段階には入っていないが、カリキュラム全体の構想の原案はほぼ固まりつつあるので、今後も基礎作業を続け、将来的には総合的カリキュラムの教室外活動の一環に組み入れたいと考えている。
