项目摘要

本年度(平成10年度)の研究は,まず昨年度末に鹿児島市の環境局より提供を受けた粗大ごみの収集記録を整理し,コンピュータに入力した。鹿児島市は人口約55万であり,全市を旧市街と南部の谷山地区の2地区に分けて粗大ごみの収集を行っている。北部の旧市街の収集については平成9年4月から12月までの9ヶ月分,谷山地区では平成9年6月から10年1月までの8ヶ月分の収集記録の提供を受けた。宮崎市(人口約30万)粗大ごみ収集件数は平成6年度12ヶ月で2,638品目であったが,人口が宮崎市の2倍に満たない鹿児島市の粗大ごみ収集件数は提供を受けた記録では30,328品目であり,12ヶ月では40,000品目を超えると思われる。人口あたりでいうと、鹿児島市の世帯は宮崎市に比べて約8倍の量の粗大ごみを排出している。この違いのひとつの原因は鹿児島市の粗大ごみ収集品目が宮崎市に比べて多いことが上げられる。特に、宮崎市では粗大ごみとして収集していないテレビ,ステレオ,電子レンジ自転車など比較的小型の品目も収集していることが、収集件数を多くしている原因と考えられる。鹿児島市の組大ごみ収集件数が予想をはるかに越えて多かったことから、本年度のデータ分析の予定がずれ込んだ。収集記録はすべてデータベース化が終わり、また住宅地図を元にした土地利用の分類及び粗大ごみ発生地点の地図上の特定は終了した。市内全域の住宅地図をデジタイザーで地理情報システムに入力して空間データベースを構築している。谷山地区全域及び旧市内の一部は完了したが、旧市内北部については現在作業中である。
