1.既存のCAIシステムについて調査した結果、それらは、その使用場面,利用形態,学習様式,コースウェア作成機能およびハードウェア構成のそれぞれの面から分類できた(以後これらの分類を分類基準と呼び、各分類での項目を設計仕様細目と呼ぶ)。2.CAIシステムの役割と1より、CAIを具現化する方法および形式は、幾通りも存在することがわかった。そこで、CAIを具現化するには、学習目的、スタッフや設備等の実情を考慮し、最適な設計仕様項目を選択することが必要であると考え、CAIシステム作成のための概念設計フローモデルを開発した。3.経済・経営系学部(社会科学系学部)の情報処理教育の実状を調査・分析した結果、次のような課題および問題点が挙げられた。課題としては、学部の教育目標や教育方法、カリキュラムに無理なく組み込めるものであること、情報化社会の流れに見合った教育課題を追求すること、学生の現状、理解力に適った教育計画を立てること、スタッフや設備の実状にあった教育方法の工夫をする事等が挙げられ、問題点としては、現実の情報や情報化社会を学部の教育内容としてどのように概念化するか、また、情報化に対応させるときに学部としての教育目標の変容が起こるということ等が挙げられた。4.経済学部卒業生を対象として調査した結果からは、学部における情報処理教育の期待度が強く、教育内容としては、基礎的な知識習得と実用的な能力養成、社会科学系の得意とする領域での情報教育が望まれていることが明らかになった。5.3,4を踏まえて、コンピュータを利用することが望ましいと思われる科目を検討し、その科目についての2の概念設計フローを用いてCAIシステム例を試作した。
