项目摘要

本研究は、一つの漢字における複数の音読みが一音に収束していく「漢字音の一元化」現象を、特に漢語の語形変化や語形揺れに着目して分析することを目的としている。令和4年度は、(1)時代や資料を限定し、漢字音全体の傾向を捉えていく計量的研究に加えて、(2)様々な時代・ジャンルの資料を用いた個別字音史の研究にも取り組んだ。(1)では、「一元化」と関連の深い、呉音・漢音を一語内で混ぜ用いる（混読）現象について、『色葉字類抄』と『日葡辞書』を用いて中世における展開を考察した前年度の学会発表の内容に対し、加筆修正を加えて論文化した（『計量国語学』33巻6号）。また、「日本語歴史コーパス」を用いて、近世における量的推移を概観した（第129回CH研究会）。同発表では、漢音の拡大が特に延べ語数において認められることも指摘した。このほか、一字一音を原則とし、かつ付音が網羅的な資料としてキリシタン版『落葉集』を取り上げ、「色葉字集」「小玉篇」においては漢音よりも呉音の方が若干多いもののほぼ拮抗していること、一元化傾向にある字音は「本篇」所収漢語の前項としてよく現れる字音と一致する例が多いこと等を指摘した（『日本語学論集』19号）。(2)では、「萌」という字の有力な字音が、モウ（マウ）、ボウ（バウ）、ホウと歴史的に大きく変化したことを示すとともに、現代音のホウは「朋」に作る字体（萠）に由来するものと考えられ、近世から近代にかけて「朋」「崩」などと軌を一にしてボウが使われなくなりホウに一元化したことを論じた（第127回訓点語学会研究発表会）。このほか、室町時代の漢字音資料としても名高い、『玉塵抄』の翻刻や、『文明本節用集』のデータベース化の方法や課題に関する発表を行った。
