项目摘要

温度や磁場などの外部パラメーターを調節すると、物質は臨界現象と呼ばれる現象を示すことがある。臨界現象では物質量の冪的な振る舞いが観測されるとともに、現れる冪指数が物質の種類や詳細に依存せず、空間次元や対称性のみによって決まるという著しい普遍性を持つ。共形場理論はこのような臨界現象を記述する理論的枠組みである。臨界現象を実験的に検証するときは、不純物や実験系を入れる容器の境界から来る効果を正しく勘定しないといけない。このような不純物や境界をまとめて欠陥と呼び、欠陥がある場合の臨界現象を記述する場の理論を欠陥付きの共形場理論と呼ぶ。本年度は欠陥付き共形場理論についての研究を中心に行なった。まずは欠陥付きの共形場理論の相関関数と欠陥のない共形場理論の相関関数の間に、鏡像法のような関係が成り立つことを指摘した(Phys.Rev.D 106 (2022) 8, L081701)。次にRychkovとTanによって開発された、共形対称性を含むいくつかの公理を置くことによって臨界現象を解析する手法に着目した。RychkovとTanによるオリジナルの論文では欠陥なしの臨界現象についてのもので、欠陥付きの共形場理論への拡張は大阪大学の山口哲氏によってなされていた。我々は発表論文(JHEP 03 (2023) 051)および(JHEP 03 (2023) 203)において、それをさらに発展させ、特に相関関数の解析性に着目することで、複合演算子を含む演算子のスペクトラムを求める手法を開発した。また、境界や線欠陥がある場合のO(N)模型に我々の枠組みを適用し、得られた解析が摂動計算によって得られた結果と合致することも確認した。我々の研究論文で行なった解析手法は、他の欠陥がある場合の臨界現象にも適用できると期待される。
