项目摘要

Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) is known as causative virus of not only the Burkitt Lymphoma but also some kind of carrcinomas. But, there are not so many reports about the EBV and oral carcinoma. Especially, about receptors of EBV and oral viral carcinogenesis are still unclear.This research examined the EBV infection in oral squamous cell carcinoma by means of in situ hybridization (ISH) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR).<MATERIALS> Thirty-three primary lesion and 43 lymphnodes of 14 were obtained from oral squamous cell carcinoma patients who underwent the biopsies and/or surgery at the first department of oral and maxillofacial surgery were examined. The gingival mucosa of the non-carcinoma patients were used for comparison.<RESULTS> EBV infection rate was 9.1% (1 case out of 11 cases was EBV positive) by PCR and 18.2% (2/11) by ISH in non affected mucosa. In the oral squamous cell carcinomas, EBV infection rate was 66.7% (22/33) by PCR, and 85.7% (24/28) by ISH. In the leukoplakia cases, 50.0% (1/2) and 50.0% (1/2), respectively.<CONCLUSION> EBV infection in oral squamous cell carcinoma was significantly higher than that of gingival mucosa of non carcinoma patients, and EBV infecrtion highly occurred in both metastatic and non-metastatic lymphnodes. These results suggest the close relation between EBV infection and oral squamous cell carcinomas even directly or indirectly.
爱泼斯坦-巴尔病毒(EBV)不仅是伯基特淋巴瘤(Burkitt Lymphoma)的致病病毒,也是某些癌症的致病病毒。但是,关于EBV和口腔癌的报道并不多。特别是EBV受体与口腔病毒癌变的关系尚不清楚。本研究采用原位杂交(ISH)和聚合酶链反应(PCR)技术检测EBV在口腔鳞状细胞癌中的感染情况。[资料]我们从口腔颌面部外科一科接受活检和/或手术的口腔鳞状细胞癌患者中获得33个原发灶和14个淋巴结。以非癌患者的牙龈黏膜为对照。<结果>无感染黏膜PCR检出率为9.1%(11例EBV阳性1例),ISH检出率为18.2%(2/11)。在口腔鳞状细胞癌中,PCR检测EBV感染率为66.7% (22/33),ISH检测EBV感染率为85.7%(24/28)。白斑病例分别为50.0%(1/2)和50.0%(1/2)。结论口腔鳞状细胞癌患者的> EBV感染明显高于非癌患者的牙龈粘膜,且EBV感染在转移性和非转移性淋巴结均高发。提示EBV感染与口腔鳞状细胞癌有直接或间接的密切关系。
