本研究の目的は、生産と在庫、設備投資と全要素生産性に関する企業行動モデルをミクロ・データを用いて計量的に分析し、ミクロ・レベルと産業集計レベルの結果を比較検討することである。そのために、日本の自動車産業に焦点を合わせ、「開銀企業財務データバンク」から個別企業の生産、中間投入、在庫・設備投資、雇用、金融等に関する情報を抽出し、それらをパネルデータとして設備投資行動、在庫投資と生産決定行動おとび資本蓄積と総要素生産性(TFP)の行動を分析した。設備投資では、組立と車体のメーカーの投資が生産シェアとの結びつきが大きいのに対して、部品企業では収益性格差や組立企業の稼働率が重要であること、内部資金の利用可能性の影響は調達レジーム(内部留保、増資、社債発行)の違いで一様ではないこと、2)組立企業では、生産平準化仮説が成立しないこと、3)自動車産業のTFP上昇率は、70-85年の0.86%が86-96年では0.57%に低下していること、85年以前では部品企業の貢献が大きかったこと、部品企業では生産規模が相対的に小さい企業の貢献が大きかったこと、などが明らかにされた。

The purpose of this study is to analyze, compare and discuss the results of the measurement of enterprise activities related to production, inventory and equipment investment and total factor productivity. The focus of Japan's automobile industry is to extract information on production, intermediate investment, investment in inventory, equipment, employment, finance, etc. of individual companies, analyze activities related to investment in inventory, production decisions, and capital accumulation factor productivity (TFP).
