本年度は研究代表者が龍谷大学の研究員として、コロナ等の影響で本来計画していた英国への滞在に代わって、トルコ（アンカラ大学）に2022年7月から8か月間滞在した。本研究の対象であるイスラーム神秘家ルーミーはトルコ中部コンヤで活動しており、有意義な成果を得た。文献調査では、ルーミー関係の諸史料について、アンカラ、コンヤ、イスタンブールなどの写本館所蔵の写本コピーを入手した。特にコンヤでは、国立セルチュク大学テミーゼル教授の援助で、ルーミーの講演録『七つの講話』、まだルーミーの代表作『マスナヴィー』の17世紀のアンカラヴィーによる注釈書のコピーなど貴重な史料類を入手できた。フィールド調査ではルーミーの伝統を継承するメヴレヴィー教団のセマーなどの修行法について、コンヤのルーミー年次大祭（12月開催）などの機会に詳細に観察できた。またイスタンブールでは教団長のオケ師から同教団の教義、儀礼について複数回にわたり話を伺い、また教団のズィクル（神秘主義の祈り）集会を見学した。同時に比較宗教の研究としてギリシア正教の遺跡をカッパドキアなどで観察し、ルーミーも交流した修道院の歴史・文化への理解を深めた。イスタンブールでギリシア正教世界総主教のバルトロメオス師と面会し、ルーミーのキリスト教との交流への理解を伺い、エキュメニズムに基いてイスラームとの対話推進、および今後の仏教を含む交流について話し合った。日本において、研究分担者の久松とともに龍谷大学で研究会を2回開催した。第一回は、阿部仲麻呂・カトリック神学院教授を招き、エキュメニズムによるキリスト教とイスラームの対話の可能性を論じた。第二回は、釈徹宗・相愛大学学長を招き、研究代表者とともに浄土系仏教の念仏と他宗教の祈りの比較について講演した。また東京ジャーミィにおいて村山木ノ実・学振PDとともにマスナヴィー講読会を数回開き、成果を得た。
