2014年度に発足した「糸・布・衣の循環史研究会」の活動を発展させ，内外の諸分野研究者の協力を得ると共に，科学研究費補助金・基盤研究(B)「18～20世紀の糸・布・衣の廉価化をめぐる世界史」を獲得し，活動範囲を広げた。7月には角田が中心となってワークショップを開催，7～8月には国際シンポジウムを開催して角田も発表した。2016年2～3月に渡欧し，パリ市内で史料収集を行い，リヨンとミュルーズの染織関係博物館を見学する他，昨年に続き現地研究者と面会，商業年鑑共同データベース作成に向けて話し合った。現在は現地研究者作成分とのデータ連結や地理情報との連動の作業中である。なおパリの後にはウィーンでパサージュのフィールド・ワークを行った。成果公表については，商業年鑑関係は計画より大幅に内容を拡大したため3年次までには実現しなかったが，年次計画の「百貨店やオート・クチュールという新しい商業形態が19世紀後半に具体的にどのように成立していくか」については，2016年5月に論文を刊行予定である。また19世紀のモード商帳簿に基づく論文は2016年4月に書籍掲載論文の形で出版した。全体の研究目的である「18世紀末から19世紀の服飾品関係小売業の経営方法などの実態を明らかにし，小売業の歴史全体にそれを位置付ける」ことに関しては，グローバルなファッション産業の中でのフランスの生地製造業とパリの衣服製造業の位置付けと存在意義についての論考を2015年6月に公表し，また服飾品の製造・小売システムと「ファッション」創出の構造について2015年8月の前述国際シンポジウムで口頭発表を行った。計画の中で掲げていた生データの共有と研究のためのツールの活用については，共同データベース作成や，地理学研究者の協力を得ての地理情報関連ソフトウェアの活用により果たせているものと考える。

In August 2015, the above-mentioned international apparel production team launched its oral presentation. In the middle of the project, we will develop a system of sharing and research, and a system of joint research and development, and a system of cooperation among geographical researchers to develop a system of geographic information.
