本年度は主に、『大日本史賛藪』の歴史叙述の特徴、および、『神皇正統記』との関連から見た南朝史受容の諸様相について検討を行った。前者については、『大日本史賛藪』の外国伝を主たる材料として、同書の歴史叙述のうち、特に外国観・対外関係史認識が、同書を執筆した安積澹泊の歴史認識以上に、『大日本史』およびその論賛という書物の枠組みや叙述方法、対象年代といった要因に大きく規定されていることを明らかにした。後者については、近世における『神皇正統記』の受容の様相を、近世前期に成立した『南方紀伝』や『桜雲記』から、近世後期に成立して幕末・明治期に流布した平田篤胤『玉襷』に至る史書数点によって辿り、『神皇正統記』との共通点および相違点を分析した。その結果、近世における『神皇正統記』の受容は、南朝正統論の枠組みのみに収まるものではなく、神器論や通史叙述、あるいは時勢の変遷についての記載など、さまざまな面において後世に大きな影響を与えていることが確認できた。なお、同内容については当該年度内に口頭発表および論文の投稿を行った。このほか、『大日本史』の草稿と目される資料について、本文の解読を進めるとともに、依拠資料や成立時期などの基礎的事実の検討を進め、また、南朝史享受をめぐる人的交流や思想的背景を明らかにするため、特に『南朝編年記略』の著者・津久井尚重周辺の有職家・神道家の著作や関連資料を閲覧・収集し、内容の検討を進めた。
