项目摘要
Core A: Administrative and Data (AD) Core - ABSTRACT
The mission of the Administrative and Data (AD) Core is to provide the leadership, coordination and strategic
planning for our HOME program so that our vision becomes reality. The AD Core will be tasked for the overall
coordination and efficient working of the program across investigators and locations, including the management
and quality assurance of project data via the following specific aims:
Aim 1. Leadership: Provide effective leadership in the administrative coordination and scientific communication
across the partnering institutions, investigators, staff, and communities of the program.
Aim 2. Communications: Deliver essential scientific and administrative coordination and enhanced
communication among program investigators, staff, community, and National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Aim 3. Fiscal Management: Effectively manage all financial and infrastructure resources and oversee and
evaluate the performance of all program components.
Aim 4. Progress Reporting: Develop clear reporting procedures to partners within and outside the program,
including Ethics Committee (EC), Community Advisory Board (CAB), NIH, program investigators, and staff.
Aim 5. Strategic Planning: Cultivate self-evaluation, self-improvement, and strategic planning among Principal
Investigator (PI), Project Manager (PM), Research Project (RP) investigators and staff, Core investigators and
staff, and administrative staff.
Aim 6. Data Management: Provide a secure and HIPAA-compliant data solution for collection, storage and
backup of project data of various types that allows project investigators local and remote institutions to store,
access, retrieve and visualize data.
Aim 7. Quality Assurance: Assure accuracy, reliability, and quality of generated and collected data through a
suite of data checks, required fields, repeated data entry of randomly selected data elements and repeating of
assays on blinded samples.
Aim 8. Multimedia: Support investigators with the design and creation of multimedia material relevant to the
study aims, including creation of 2D and 3D representations of the collected data, 2D and 3D multimedia
experiences, and outreach.
To accomplish these aims, the AD Core will be comprised of a highly experienced team, including Dr. Smith,
the Principal Investigator, leading the administrative aims (Aims 1-5), and Dr. Weibel, leading the data aims
(Aims 6-8). Drs. Smith and Weibel will be assisted by Ms. Harris as Project Manager, and Ms. Le as regulatory
affairs manager. By accomplishing the proposed aims the AD Core will operate as the central hub of the HOME
project’s multiple activities, providing cohesion and synergy across RP and Cores.
