Large scale interactive multi-touch displays

Currently most manufacturers of interactive touch screen technology are working towards meeting the technical specification required for Windows 8 certification. None of the existing technical solutions is capable of meeting these requirements for interactive displays with a diagonal size exceeding 30”. Alterix has developed a new algorithm for running fast and highly sensitive measurements of a matrix projective capacitive sensing system for unlimited multi-touch detection. The inherently low cost of the solution, which is underpinned by using generic off-the-shelf electronics, make it possible to integrate multi-touch functionality into medium and large scale displays for large volume markets. Alterix is planning a prototype development to demonstrate that our technology is capable of satisfying Windows 8 certification requirements.
