英文摘要
The central aim of my study will be to look in profundity at the physical book anduncover new ways in which design can convert that container into an active part of itscontent, and consequently generate a renewed interest in the book, as a whole readingobject and not only as text printed on pages, from an audience nowadays accustomedto a growing visual and fast-paced technological environment. In order to address this matter, an essential point of the project will be to analyze therelationship that establishes between writer and reader through the narrative structureof the book and understand in what ways this can influence the form and concept ofthe object. The research will be based upon three strategies that, through historical andtheoretical studies, will dismantle and delve into the concept of the book, whilst lookingat art practices, experimental writers and designers who have engaged with theseareas, to help explore elements and relationships that are sometimes overlooked in thenarrative process. Art practices will, gradually and consequently, play a major role inthe research, as a means to study the way in which artists, an especially contemporaryartists, have interpreted the connection between artist-public.
