This research proposes to explore the embodied experience of ageing from a lifecourse perspective in adults with Cerebral Palsy (CP), using an innovative combination of creative and co- constructed research approaches. The egalitarian ethos aims to maximise both inclusion of participation, and accessibility of dissemination. CP is a neurodevelopmental condition that starts in infancy and continues to affect activity and participation as individuals mature through to adulthood and into old age. Steady incidence rates of 2.0 -2.5 cases per 1000 live births (Pharoah et al. 1998, Odding et al. 2006, Surman et al. 2009), coupled with increased life expectancy for people with mild to moderate impairment (Hutton 2008) indicates that prevalence of CP in the adult population is increasing. Indeed, there are now three times as many adults living with CP as there are children (Rosembaum 2017), forecast only to increase.
