英文摘要
During the Bosnian War (1992-1995), acts of extreme violencewere committed against women. This interdisciplinary feministproject, bridging Social Geography and International Relations, investigates lieux de mémoire (sites of memory) to ask howwomen have been represented in the collective memoryscapeacross Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Using participatorymethods, it critically explores the gendered remembrancetrajectories of these spaces of memory, by walking-with andcreating-with women involved in fighting for justice for womenin BiH. Through walking-interviews and photo-voice, theresearch will gather women's testimonies of conflict, therebycontributing more intimate memories and lieux de mémoire tothe gendered monumental memoryscape of post-conflict BiH.The research also aims to reveal the ongoing challengeswomen face in post-conflict BiH. This interdisciplinary projectseeks to integrate epistemological approaches from feministInternational Relations and feminist Social Geography. In sodoing, it seeks to develop new ground-up conceptualizations oftrauma- and memoryscapes in BiH; to develop a novelmethodology alongside survivors; and to explore the extentwhich women's stories have been alternately remembered andforgotten, martyred and militarised, simplified andmisrepresented, within the collective memory of the BosnianWar. The research will result in a high quality PhD thesis, anumber of original articles in international journals, and aphotovoice exhibition at the Sarajevo Post-Conflict ResearchCentre.
