World Vision (WV) developed the Celebrating Families (from now on CF) model in 2011 to support parents and caregivers in creating a family and community environment that fosters children's spiritual development and overall well-being. As children are not raised in isolation but are a part of families and (wider) communities of faith, throughout implementation, WV has seen the potential to impact faith leaders and entire communities through this model. Although this model primarily targets individual parents and caregivers, it has been detected that its impact cannot be observed separated from the socio-cultural environment of the participants and prescribed expected behaviour and shared values of the community, i.e., their interconnection determined by religious and traditional factors. 1 (Mapp and Henderson, 2002; Bornstein, 2009; Jones et al., 2015; Lucas et al., 2018; Bronfenbrenner, 1979; Shelton, 2019; Bartkowski 2018; Heft, 2006; Cross, 1998; Maslow 1943) The CF curriculum was initially developed for the Christian context, relying heavily on Christian Biblical content and tested in a limited but still significant number of contexts. However, observing parenthood as a social construct, the CF model creates an opportunity for further exploration and evidence collection on universal, cross-cultural, and other parental behaviour versus the one which varies across different cultures. This thesis proposal is about a systematic examination of this intervention as a case study to analyse the interdependence of religious and tradition-related factors in child nurture
