Using the expertise in plant adaptation, vascular development, photosynthesisand molecular signalling of the supervisory team, the PhD student will investigatehow temperature, photoperiod and sugar impact in the regulation of plant vasculardifferentiation and its role in optimizing photosynthesis in the model plantArabidopsis. The student will also test how the results from the investigation canbe used for the generation of novel strategies to improve plant adaptation tostress.
