By drawing on scholarship at the intersection between sensory, legal and urban geographies, this research aims to fillempirical and theoretical lacunas relating to waste infrastructure and legislation in New York City. Through consideringthe paradoxes of law's inherently visual gaze and justice's blindness, it would explore the sensorial experiences andevidence presented by many "overburdened communities".
