The aim of the project is to improve catalytic systems using the knowledge obtained through NMR reaction monitoring. The data collected will be analysed through kinetic methods, examining entire reaction profiles, such as the Variable Time Normalisation Analysis (VTNA).The information derived from the mechanistic studies will be utilised to enhance chemical reactions in terms of turnover frequencies, turnover numbers, and the reduction of starting material required.Relevant EPSRC research areas to the project: Catalysis, Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Chemical Reaction Dynamics and Mechanisms, Control Engineering. Research Themes: Physical Sciences and Manufacturing the future.
