Small, sp3-rich, conformationally restricted scaffolds are of significant interest for potential applications such as medicinal chemistry, agrochemistry, and materials science. This project is concerned with the development of synthetic methods to access new or underexplored classes of these compounds. Strategies to be employed could involve the latest developments in catalysis, photochemistry, cycloadditions, asymmetric synthesis, and C-H functionalisation chemistry.
