As rewilding emerges as an important feature of UK landscape management it is vital to assess its relationship with cultural heritage. Returning landscapes to a 'wilder' state has significant potential impacts on cultural heritage and has become a significant concern for many stakeholders affected by rewilding. This project will investigate the relationship between rewilding and heritage from the combined perspective of rewilding practitioners, heritage professionals, and other landscape stakeholders. Through interviews, surveys and case-studies, it will provide the first detailed understanding of this relationship, with the aim of providing the first toolkit for landscape stakeholders involved in future rewilding projects.
