英文摘要
This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The project that we are currently interested in beam time for is a component of the twin-arginine protein translocation complex. This is a prokaryotic pathway involved in the translocation of folded proteins across the cytoplasmic membrane. This is a relatively new pathway and, if successful, will be the first structural information of a component of the complex. This is also the first independent structure to come from my lab and we are anxious to get things underway.
