The Sixth International Workshop on X-ray Radiation Damage to Biological Crystalline Samples was held from the 11th to 13th of March, 2010 at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource. The aim of these workshops is to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of recent progress in the understanding of the effects of ionizing radiation on biological macromolecules (i.e., proteins, nucleic acids and their complexes) and how these effects impact crystal diffraction experiments and the resultant structural models. There were 53 participants from 28 institutions and laboratories in USA, Europe and Asia, including 29 invited speakers.
