项目摘要
The Administrative Core will provide leadership and management of the Tri-Institutional TRAC, oversee
finances and accounting, facilitate communication between TRAC members, users, and NIAID and evaluate the
performance of the TRAC. The goals of the Administrative Core are the same as the overall TRAC. These are
1. To increase the number of NIH funded investigators conducting basic, clinical and translational research in
TB and 2. To foster multidisciplinary TB research with a focus on NIAID’s five priorities for TB science. To achieve
these overarching TRAC goals, the specific objectives of the Administrative Core are:
1. Provide leadership, management, and oversight of Cores and TRAC activities.
2. Oversee finances and accounting of all TRAC funds
3. Communicate with TRAC members, end-users, institutions, and NIAID and organize TRAC meetings
4. Evaluate the performance of the Cores and over all TRAC
The Administrative Core will be led by Drs. Daniel Fitzgerald and Kyu Rhee. They will be assisted by Dr.
Lindsey Reif, the TRAC Program Manager, and an administrative team with expertise in finance, human
subjects protection, animal welfare, data sharing, and program evaluation. They will be advised by an internal
Prioritization Committee consisting of the TRAC PIs, Core Directors, and Dr. Linnie Golightly, the Associate
Dean for Diversity and Inclusion at Weill Cornell. An External Advisory Committee (EAC), per the RFA, will be
formed after the TRAC awards are made.
The Administrative Core will provide leadership and management for the other cores and with the Prioritization
Committee and EAC oversee strategic planning, resource allocation and prioritization. The core will manage
subcontracts between institutions and assure regulatory approvals including protection of human subjects,
animal welfare, environmental safety, and data sharing. The Administrative Core will oversee finances and
accounting of all TRAC funds. The core will assure that there is no overlap with other NIH research grants,
centers, or institutional cores. The administrative core will also organize TRAC meetings and be responsible for
communication with TRAC members, end-users, and NIAID. Finally, the Administrative Core will be
responsible for evaluating the progress of the Cores and the Tri-I TRAC and preparing annual reports.
