Female Reproductive Tissue Mapping Center Coordination Core

SUMMARY The Coordination Core for the Female Reproductive Tissue Mapping Center (FR TMC) will be responsible for the overall direction of the FR TMC and allocation of effort and other resources, as well as Center management, administration, regulatory compliance, data and resource sharing, and coordination of communication among the component Cores and Projects in the FR TMC. The CC will also facilitate interactions with the other TMCs and the Transformative Technology Development (TTP), Rapid Technology Integration (RTI), HuBMAP Integration, Visualization, and Integration (HIVE) Collaboratory, and Demonstration Project components of HuBMAP. The personnel in the CC will include the FR TMC Steering Committee (comprised of the Center Director, Project Leads, and other Co-Investigators), and the program management staff (Program Manager, Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, and Administrative Assistant). The responsibilities of the CC will be organized in five Aims: 1) Administration (encompassing management of the Center’s budget and organizing travel to annual HuBMAP investigator meetings, scientific conferences, and between FR TMC sites at UC San Diego and Jackson Labs); 2) Program management (including: setting and tracking priorities, goals, and timelines; developing Standard Operating Procedures; tracking samples, metadata, and data; and coordinating preparation of progress reports, abstracts, and manuscripts); 3) Regulatory compliance (including establishment and maintenance of Institutional Review Board approvals, Material Transfer Agreements, Data Use Agreements, and Confidential Disclosure Agreements); 4) Communication management (including: participation in HuBMAP Working Groups and Data Release Teams; and scheduling meetings and conference calls, managing agendas, and keeping minutes); and 5) Data and resource sharing (including working with the DAC to prepare data and metadata for transfer to the HIVE and for public release, and coordinating transfer of materials among FR TMC labs and between the FR TMC and other HuBMAP centers. The structure and smooth operation of the CC will enable us to efficiently collect high- quality biospecimens and generate a broad array of imaging and molecular profiling data using state-of-the art spatial transcriptomic and proteomic technologies. The establishment of detailed Standard Operating Procedures by the CC will ensure the rigor and reproducibility of our results. The CC will also facilitate rapid data and resource sharing with the HIVE, other HuBMAP Centers, and the broader scientific community.
