The equipment requested is a time-correlated single photon counting system as an add-on to the existing two-photon excitation fluorescence microscopes in our group. This system can be coupled to any of the three systems currently being used and has the capability of measuring fluorescence lifetimes as fast as 50 picoseconds. This system will be used in our investigation of the photodynamics and photochemistry of semiconductor nanocrystals (quantum dots).
