We have developed a new core daylighting system to distribute direct sunlight within the interior regions of a building in order to reduce the amount of electrical energy required for lighting. We believe that this system will have a sufficiently low cost that it can be adopted in standard building construction. It is the first core daylighting system with the potential for widespread implementation.
