An epifluorescence microscope with a digital camera and data analysis software are requested by the applicant. The microscope system will allow identification, documentation and analysis of immune cells from tissues and organs of mice given short and long term physical exercise. A microscope is a standard piece of equipment for visualizing cells and will be used as part of the applicant's NSERC funded research on immune mechanisms in physical activity and cancer.
