This research proposal pertains to applications development of novel olefination methodologies utilizing alkylphosphine derivatives produced at Cytec Canada's Manufacturing facility in Niagara Falls. Applications in areas such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, functionalized monomer/polymers and additives as well as the preparation of materials for use in photovoltaic devices are anticipated. An emphasis is placed on the development of green, environmentally friendly processes, such as the use of water in place of traditional organic solvents.
