英文摘要
Approximately 75% of emerging infectious diseases of humans are zoonoses - disease that originate from animal hosts. Wild animals are an important source of many zoonotic diseases that are currently emerging as important human health concerns. A central goal of disease ecology is to understand how such diseases are maintained and spread in wildlife populations in order to gain a better understanding of how and when diseases may emerge from wildlife into human populations.
