Sprays and nozzles are used in a wide range of industries with a variety of applications. In all these applications the spray droplet size is the most important characteristics. The droplet size determines the amount of liquid sprayed as a result improper spray can cause significant damage to the process. Currently there are different methods for spray size measurement with Laser or Phase Doppler Velocimetry methods as the most common. However, these are complex and expensive. In particular, it is impossible to use these facilities without highly trained personnel and it is impossible to do field tests.
