英文摘要
Many aspects of cells are symmetric, and when they divide, two identical cells are formed. To create cells with different shapes and functions, a cell must contain information needed for each fate, and then partition asymmetrically it such that daughter cells will inherit different types of information and thus have different fates. We are investigating how the cellular machinery that physically divides the cell coordinates its activities in relation to asymmetrically distributed information.
