Steeper Energy Corp. (SEC) is a Canadian/Danish company commercializing HydrofactionTM, a proprietary "biomass to liquids" technology using supercritical water chemistry. This hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) technology can economically convert a variety of low-value organic feedstocks, such as agricultural/forestry residuals low-grade fossil feedstocks such as lignite coal, into liquid fuel oil. Since 1998, members of Steeper Energy's team have tested more than 40 different feedstocks under varying HTL conditions. After the successful execution of the Continuous Bench-Scale unit based at Aalborg University in Denmark (over 3000 operating hours at approx. ½ barrel per day (BPD)), Steeper Energy is now developing a
