In order to effectively drill into rocks of the Deadwood Formation to draw the hot water up though piping and use the heat to turn a turbine to produce electricity, it is essential to understand the architecture and regional distribution of this unit in subsurface Saskatchewan. Our study will consist of a comprehensive sedimentologic analysis of the Deadwood Formation in order to minimize risks and help to exploit this resource successfully.
