This project will focus on quantifying the fatigue associated with the workload of an airtanker pilot in the course of his/her duties. The ultimate goal of is to develop the basis to inform new national and international standards and best practices that are applicable to pilot fatigue management. The model will begin by understanding models of fatigue from available historical data of several flights with several different aircrafts. With this information in hand the goal is to develop of model of fatigue using data from flight simulators and use this data for comparing historical models with simulator models with the eventual goal of validating the flight simulator data.
