Innovation generates new products and the sale of new products drives growth. The medical marijuana plant, Cannabis
sativa, produces a range of compounds with proven and potential value as pharmaceuticals. In some instances, these
compounds are produced at low levels but increasing their level within the plant can increase the commercial viability of the products and reduce costs of purification and production.
This application will provide the means to modify metabolism by directing the plant to channel more energy and metabolites
into the production of a range of potential pharmaceuticals thus increasing Tweeds products, sales and growth.
