项目摘要
Viscoelastic Coupling Dampers are used to replace traditional reinforced concrete core beams in coupled wall configurations or installed within outrigger wall systems. Although the development work that has taken place to date has validated the VCD for use in core walls which is typical of buildings up to approximately 250 meters, in order to bring the VCD to its full-potential, it is required to develop, test and validate the VCD with special ductile yielding fuses and lock-up mechanisms in outrigger configurations that are used for super-tall and mega-tall towers.
