In 2012 Kluane Drilling Ltd. visited the Samp prospect and collected samples showing up to 18 ppb gold, 55.5 ppm molybdenum, 129 ppm lead, 5,600 ppm silver, 840 ppm arsenic, 70 ppm bismuth, 8639 ppm barium, >300 ppm tungsten, 45 ppm tin, 0.73 ppm tellurium, and 3.25 ppm thallium, including one sample containing an extremely rich 604.5 grams per tonne Au and >300 ppm silver. These numbers and other features found at the property are indicative of Carlin-type mineralization; this type of deposit represents some of the largest hydrothermal gold deposits in the world.
