A solid electrochemical energy storage (SEES) device stores and deliver energy in the solid-state, providing a safe, clean, and effective means to power next generation consumer and automotive electronics. Many SEES devices must be light-weight, thin, and flexible with various form-factors, which is critical for the now booming wearable electronics industry. For the automotive industry, they should be able to be molded into different shapes to be integrated into the electrical vehicle body to add extra energy and power and to improve fuel efficiency.
