An oligonucleotide synthesizer (a.k.a. DNA synthesizer) is an absolutely essential piece of equipment for our laboratory which is involved with the design and synthesis of modified nucleosides for incorporation into synthetic DNA probes. Our specialty is the chemistry and study of the properties and applications of novel, modified oligonucleotides. These are not available through commercial sources and thus the need for this instrument.
