Redevelopment of high foaming soap for small to large scale agricultural applications

In livestock facilities, soaps are often applied to vertical surfaces, such as walls, and so a loss of foaming ability can allow the soap to drain more quickly due to the effect of gravity. The development of a longer-lasting, higher-foaming soap will improve the cleaning abilities of the associated surfactants and other ingredients in the cleansing agent by increasing the time span over which the material adheres to the surfaces being cleaned. The science of foam stabilization is relatively advanced but there remains a requirement to apply these advances to the stabilization of soap foams for this particular application. ****Precision Chemical Manufacturing Ltd will be collaborating with Red River College's Life Sciences Department researchers and students to develop a long-lasting, high-foaming soap for the cleaning of livestock facilities and trailers, with a particular focus on extending the lifetime of the soap foam via chemical stabilization. The intended deliverable is a new product that advances the cleaning practices of the current livestock industry.
