The purpose of this I2I grant is to develop a printable lithium ion battery for the wearables market that is projected reach a total market share of >$150 billion USD by 2027. Our previous market assessment from Adventus suggested that we focus on the wearables market. During that assessment, a new invention was made (US provisional pattent 62/599,461) that makes this technology transfer objective even more attractive from a licencing perspective. We are committed to focussing our current project on the printed battery industry.**The objective of this project is to formulate printable battery inks, scale up manufacturing of the battery inks, and develop a manufacturing protocol to incorporate the ink material into a printed lithium ion battery. Specifically, the goals of this project will include: (1) the development of printable battery inks based on our proprietary technology; (2) optimization of the polymeric material performance; (3) scaled up manufacturing of the improved polymeric material and printable battery inks; (4) the development of a manufacturing protocol for a printed lithium ion battery; and (5) the demonstration of a minimum viable product incorporating goals 1-4 with validated electrical performance and manufacturing practices. **
