The objective of this collaborative project is to explore if new sample introduction strategies for aqueous samples could be coupled to a plasma generated by a miniaturized dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) in order to determine elemental composition of dissolved samples. If successful, the project would enable the development of a new portable system suitable for the analysis of liquid and dispersed solid environmental samples.
