英文摘要
The low energy welding is a micro-arc welding process invented and patented by Huys Industries that uses pulsed electrical discharges in the form of a short circuit to transfer metal from the electrode to the base material. By using a capacitor discharge power supply, this process delivers high amounts of current for a concise amount of time, resulting in a metal transfer with very little heat input. As this is a new and proprietary welding process, very little research has been conducted on the feasibility of using the LEW process to successfully weld difficult alloys using this ultra-low heat input welding process. The development of a proven welding procedure to repair magnesium alloys will provide Huys industries with a unique opportunity to increase market for the sale of Low Energy Welding equipment. This will create a market for the sale of welding machines where no market exists today.
