End_User Service Engineering in Communications Networks

终端用户服务（例如多媒体和多方游戏、远程学习、视频点播）是通信网络dêtre的原因。通信网络中终端用户服务体系结构的规范和验证是一项重大工程挑战。需要设计尽可能广泛的服务；需要处理生命周期的所有阶段（例如开发、部署、执行、使用和退出）；通信网络的具体情况也需要考虑在内。本研究项目侧重于通信网络中工程终端用户服务的综合架构（如概念、原则、规则）的规范和验证。该计划借鉴了几个学科（例如分布式系统，软件工程，网络），并处理传统网络（例如3G）和挑战网络（例如移动自组织网络，无线传感器和执行器网络）。

End-user services (e.g. Multimedia and multiparty games, distance learning, video on demand) are the raison dêtre of communications networks. The specification and validation of architectures for end-user services in communication networks is a majorengineering challenge. The widest possible range of services needs to be engineered; all the phases of the life cycle (e.g. development, deployment, execution, usage and withdrawal) need to be addressed; and the specifics of the communications networks need to be taken into account. This research program focus on specification and validation of comprehensive architectures (e.g. concepts, principles, rules) for engineering end-user services in communications networks. The program draws on several disciplines (e.g. distributed systems, software engineering, networking) and deals with both conventional networks (e.g. 3G) and challenged networks (e.g. mobile ad hoc networks, wireless sensors and actuators networks).
