Climate change is impacting the health of the Arctic ecosystem and increasingly threatening wildlife sustainability. Emerging diseases and enigmatic declines of wildlife populations are impacting public health, food security, and the Indigenous way of life. Using a One Health approach, collaborating with Indigenous communities, industry, and public agencies, the Tier I CRC in Arctic One Health will create new knowledge and frameworks, bridging Indigenous and Scientific knowledge, for a better understanding of wildlife health. Outcomes will advance conservation and ecosystem and community health by informing wildlife management, food security planning, policy and climate change mitigation in the Arctic.
