项目摘要
As a Tier II Canada Research Chair in Miniaturized Devices, I will create a research program to develop new knowledge, materials, and technologies for engineering universal miniaturized biosensors that analyze specific biomarkers of health and disease. New advancements will be made in streamlining the recognition of biomarkers using DNA machines with ultrasensitive light-activated electrical measurement for creating ultrasensitive yet simple-to-use platforms. This will lead to critically-needed point-of-care diagnostics and continuous monitoring systems for
early/rapid disease detection at the point-of-need and remote areas, monitoring chronic diseases at patient homes, and controlling infections disease outbreaks at points-of-entry.
